Coyote Joe's Bar and Grill occupies what was once the historic Arizona Hotel. The historic Arizona Hotel was built in the notorious red light district of Whiskey Row in the late 1800's. It operated as brothel and it is reported to have tunnels in the basement that once housed opium dens.
